What I offer

Organizational Development

How can you use Participatory Leadership to discover new possibilities beyond traditional organisational structures?

Whatever challenging questions you have to deal with – digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, corporate social responsibility (CRS), restructuring etc. – I invite you to explore looking beyond traditional patterns, taking on a systemic view and using the dormant potential of human capital in the private sector, government, international institutions and non-profit organisations. For example, one of the latest organisational trends, Participatory Leadership enables you to share managerial functions by calling in the experience and wisdom of co-workers for complex issues. One of the guiding questions could be: How will tomorrow’s leaders become good hosts for an enabling organisational culture?

Project Development

How can you co-create sustainable economic, social and ecological solutions with multiple stakeholders?

Starting a project needs good planning and bringing the right people into the room – from science, industry, government, NGOs to grass root organisations. Whatever your task is, be it proposal development or the organization of an interdisciplinary congress, with my support you can explore participatory and inclusive approaches to incorporate views of all stakeholders for long term impact. Using the Social Laboratory format or the Agile Project Management will keep you and tackle technical and ecological challenges along the way. Moderated short feedback loops will allow internally for quick adjustments and learning in the team, and externally adapting to changing demands and cooperation.

The Art of Hosting / Facilitation

How can you listen deeper to the hidden intelligence of humans?

I serve you with process facilitation, the Art of Hosting (AoH), in small to big groups (150+) to enable new communication patterns and offer a safe space to re-build trust and find new strength in a common vision. Accelerating through slowing down, mindfulness and deep listening are ingredients that people can use to self-organize what they are enthusiastic about – for the benefit of the organisation and their own wellbeing. How can citizen engagement be a game changer in politics, regional development and peace building? A public participation process with facilitated dialogues can ease the understanding and commitment for controversial public infrastructure projects (like flood control measures, national park etc.). Engaging citizens in socio-political topics like climate change, interreligious dialogue or democracy enables them to become active and responsible community members.

Training

How can you accelerate learning with experiential on-the-job training?

I provide trainings and workshops on topics such as Project Cycle Management (PCM), Finance management or Donor regulations while using an individualised approach based on the principles of the Art of Hosting (AoH). This allows first hand, practical and applicable experiences and learning for all participants. The trainings are tailored according to your purpose and will help staff/team members or partners apply it easily in their respective teams, departments or organisations. The use of AoH enables participants not only to acquire new skills and knowledge but also to reflect on the process and communication within the training and beyond. Team building, awareness of diversity, mindfulness practice for working environment or related life skills will be part of the training if required.

Coaching

Neuro-systemic Coaching

Do you have job-related problems? Decisions you don’t dare to take? Or you are asking yourself, how to interrupt unwanted personal patterns to certain difficult situations?

Coaching is for all people who have challenges in their job or want to change professionally.

I am offering professional coaching according to competence-activating concepts by Dr. Gunther Schmidt (consultant and specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy at the Milton Erickson-Institut Heidelberg). It is an integration of systemic models and the competence-focusing concepts of Erickson’shypnotherapy into a holistic, solution-focused approach. Neuro-systemic Coaching is an appreciative attitudethat, according to state-of-the-art brain research, is using your unconscious body responses to find faster answers to your personal inquiries.

The 1st coaching unit is free of charge to get to know each other.

What others are saying about my work

We contracted Judith as proposal writer and appreciated her thorough technical knowledge in the field of emergency and her understanding of the background in Ethiopia. She is an absolutely committed consultant who you can rely on completely.
Kathrin Pauschenwein

Head of International Programmes, SOS Kinderdorf Österreich

You’ve never seen anything so cool.

The [coaching] session was something of a milestone, no a leap around the world: necessarily worth repeating!! Worth every penny!!

… I am still very touched, enthusiastic and self-informed, core-oriented, etc.

like never before…

K. P.

coachee

The facilitation training instilled self confidence in me and taught me how to host myself before I host anyone else. It urged me to reflect and contribute what I have learnt back to my community so that a change would come, change that would bring all Somalis across the table and have genuine discussions and conversations. The three days training equal for me to ten years of studying in a class.
Alinor Abdi Osman

GBV community worker, Somali Women Development Centre (SWDC), Somalia

Thank you very much for yesterday again especially for your wonderful moderation (online on Zoom). You picked us up and accompanied us so beautifully.

A.

participant of a reflection workshop of consultants and coaches

The team building session led by Judith was a great start for the group which enables the group to build the foundation for reflective learning and experience sharing during the following activities and trainings. Furthermore, she manages the group effectively to open up, build trust, and identify the joint goals.
Yoojin Choi

Head of Programmes and Activities Department, IACA - International Anti-Corruption Academy

It was a great opportunity to work with you on this assignment, you have very quickly managed to understand the local culture and business environment, specifically what relates to the organisation, and to deal with it in a very professional way.

K.N.

How I work

Humans are at the centre of my work. A strong participatory approach is foundational for “What I offer”.

At the beginning of each consultancy I sit together with you to uncover the deeper purpose of your request. Based on that, I will work closely with you and other stakeholders to co-create the appropriate process, design flow and setting for your task. Format settings can range from a simple meeting, to workshop, teambuilding, social laboratory, learning journeys, conference, congress, symposium, public participation, etc. Once this has been clarified I will select suitable facilitation methods and tools.

I believe how we interact with each other is more important than the tools we use for our communication. In my professional and personal life, I am motivated by following values and principles:

Values

  • Being present
  • Hosting safe spaces with trust and confidentiality
  • Listen and sense with an open heart and mind
  • Slow down to see beyond words and figures
  • Curiosity to explore fresh paths
  • Meet all at eye-level with respect and dignity
  • Inclusion that enables diversity to thrive
  • Provocative and inspiring to serve the purpose

Principles

  • Systemic view and interdependence
  • Social, ecological and economic sustainability
  • Guided by deeper purpose and vision
  • Let self-organisation unfold
  • Collective wisdom by collaborative learning and co-creation
  • Every process has its own rhythms
  • Participatory leadership
  • Communities of Practice
  • Have fun!
